Right? I can think of so many ways one can engage with others beyond the basic question of “what do you do?”
Did you learn something new about yourself in the last few months? OR What makes you jump out of your bed every morning? OR What topic can you talk about on hours at a time?
It's a horrible question. Why do we always start there? Let's change that narrative.
